Salomon Women's Ellipse 2 LTR LIGHTWEIGHT AND COMFORTABLE. LIVE THE MOUNTAIN TO THE FULLEST. Comfortable, grippy and made to fit women, the Ellipse 2 Leather combines modern, feminine design with classic leather for day hikes on moderate terrain. Upper - longer wear and durability. Tested by and for Women - Specific last, collar shape and sole hardness based on Women's input. Highly durable suede and full leather materials allow for longer wear and durability and is the feature material employed by Salomon, generating a longer lasting boot that conforms to the wearers feet; a secondary material, textile enables the boot to be quick drying whilst preventing abrasion, further increasing the life span of the boot. Supplemented with water resistant qualities, the boot repels water keeping you dry. Due to the low profile of the boot, full freedom of movement with multi-directional flex is enabled. Keeping the overall framework in tact, key placed protective rubber toe cap and mud guard all act upon torsion, reducing wear and tear to the boots from oncoming rocks and roots. Midsole - Flexible and Cushioned Compound. The Ellipse 2 LTR utilises a removable Die cut OrthoLite sockliner on the interior footbed which combines a specific Ortholite foam and an EVA heel cup. Ortholite foam creates a cooler, drier, healthier, better cushioned environment under the foot. It will not break down or lose effectiveness over time. Recycled tire content to protect the environment. EVA heel cups allows for a better heel support and added cushioning. Supporting mile after mile of trekking, an injected EVA lines the midsole - an industry leader on good merit, EVA is both light and flexible, with a great disposition as a cushioning material. It actively reduces forces pressed upon the underfoot for a smooth stride through transition with ample of shock dispersion.
